October Fun in the ATL
One of the great things about living in the ATL is that there is always lots of things to do but fall in our area is especially chocked with fun. The ATL is no stranger to weekend festivals, markets and different things to do. If you’re looking for food, art, beer, or just something to get you in the mood for Halloween, chilly weather and a little in between, you’ve come to the right place.

Metro ATL events
Little 5 Points Halloween Festival and Parade-October 21
The Little 5 Points Halloween Festival & Parade is the signature Halloween festival in the southeast and one of the top ten Halloween events in the country. It is staged in Little 5 Points, Atlanta’s premiere business, arts and music district. Each October, over 35,000 people flock to Little 5 Points to enjoy great food and drink, live entertainment and the best Halloween parade in the South!
The Great Atlanta Beer Fest-October 7
What a cool date night option! After many years at Turner Field, the Great Atlanta Beer Fest will move to Suntrust Park on Saturday, October 7, 2017 and will feature 150+ different beers and ciders to sample from Atlanta, the Southeast, and all over America. They will also have 25+ wine selections to enjoy. The festival will take place inside the stadium using the concourse, both levels of the Chop House, and the games of “The Sandlot” (kids zone) will be open to beer fest patrons. College Football will be on the big screens in the outfield as well as the TVs in the Chop House and around the concourse. There will be live music with the Geeks Band and a DJ dance party with everyone’s favorite, DJ Qtip.
Taste of Atlanta-October 20-22
Taste of Atlanta, the city’s must-do, unforgettable three-day food festival returns in October, 2017 at a new location, Historic Fourth Ward Park. More than 90 neighborhood favorites will show off their most craveable dishes, the hottest local chefs will strut their stuff on four live demo stages, and patrons of the Grand Tasting Event will hit boozy nirvana sampling craft beers, wine and creative cocktails. The 2017 event will take festival-goers on a foodie adventure through the city’s many diverse neighborhoods by featuring the chefs and restaurants that give these communities their unique flair.
Georgia Apple Festival-October 14-15, 21-22
Welcome to North Georgia! The Georgia Apple Festival brings two exciting weekends to Ellijay, Georgia every year with hundreds of vendors offering food, art, crafts, and more, as well as visitors from all over.
Gold Rush Days-October 21-22
Gold Rush Days are always held the third full weekend in October when thousands come and see fall colors peaking and celebrate Dahlonega’s 1828 discovery of gold. Over 300 art and craft exhibitors and food vendors gather around the Public Square and Historic District in support of this annual event.

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of their annual Chalk Festival with Marietta's premier Craft Beer Festival.

Fall Jonquil Festival-October 28-29
Fall Jonquil Festival is a 2 day event in downtown Smyrna. This event showcases arts and crafts by more than 150 artists/crafters from across the country and is fun for the entire family to enjoy with continuous entertainment, a children's section, and a wide selection of festival foods and much more.
Marietta Square Art Walk continues every first Friday through November from 5pm to 9pm. Art Walk celebrates the vitality of Marietta’s diverse cultural Arts scene with artists, businesses, and organizations representing all the Arts. The evening comes alive as performance, dance, culinary and visual Art permeate every corner of the charming Historic Marietta Square.
Owl of Ween at KSU-October 27-28
Owl-O-Ween is an award-winning, family-friendly event billed as: Atlanta's only Hot Air Balloon Festival and largest costume party! Owl-O-Ween also features live entertainment, Hot Air Balloon Glows, trick-or-treating (at the balloons), multiple stages, tethered balloon rides, costume showdowns, roving performers, food trucks, food court, Merchant Marketplace, Artist Alley, free Interactive Kids Zone, Craft Beer Garden, and so much more!
